I had read several articles on going raw and tried it for a couple of days about 6 months ago. I had extreme headaches and was so tired I gave up. I am a 32 year old single mom of 3 and have started having some health issue which include numbness and uncontrolable shaking in my right hand. The fear of not being able to raise my children has brought me back to the raw diet. My old diet was considered healthy, mainly cooked vegetables, whole grains, and lean meat. I have transitioned the last few days by eating completely raw for breakfast and lunch, but eating some cooked meat for dinner. I was hoping this would help with the detox headaches. Tommorow will be my first day totally raw. I work with a personal trainer 2 days a week and do cardio on my own an additional 2 or 3 days. So here's to a healthy new beginning.

Welcome Stacey. I'm also new and love this place. So much info here to help us along. I never get enough time to look at it all. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I've eaten the old SAD diet for 62 years and these last few weeks I have felt more alive than ever with all this raw foods. Sure is invigorating. I'm sure the good Lord brought you here to change your life for the better as how can you live your life to the fullest if your not up to it healthwise and we are what we eat. I wish I'd known about this mnany years ago. Good luck, Carol

Welcome! Please don't give up! Headaches and tiredness are detox symptoms. It is so worth it.
Raw is so very healing. There are not many guarantees in life, but I can guarantee is you go 100% raw for 30-days you WILL feel a difference. I have suffered with migraines my entire life - 53 years. Since going raw 10 months ago? I've not had one. Not one migraine! It IS healing. Give it a good try this time. Be sure to drink plenty of water and how about incorporating green smoothies into your diet.
I'd give up the meat. Meat is toxic. Try 100% raw for 30 days. See if it doesn't make a difference.

Welcome and stick with it. It is so worth it. It has been 3 weeks for me and I went through a terrible cold/cough which may have been detox but stuck with it - I feel great. I am 54 years old and the last couple of days I have such a feeling of "joy" and peacefulness that I can't remember ever feeling.
I seriously want to smile all the time - it is weird but great.
I have had no interest in coffee for a week and I never though I could get through the day without it. I don't crave my sweets or breads anymore.
I have lost about 6lbs but the biggest change is not feeling bloated and puffy like I did.
My plan was to try this for a month but I can't see myself going back to the other way of eating - does not appeal to me at all
the sun is shining today in Ontario and it is beautiful - I wish you all sunshine this weekend!!
