Jul,

Not to burst your bubble but that book has been out for 3 or 4 years .

It's in the bargain bin by now.

Charlie and Roxanne Klein did a nice job on it.

He stilll features raw food on his menu in Chicago.

Peace,

M.B.

But with all that said it is still COOL that Normal SAD eaters are exposed to a nice gourmet RAW book. I just bought this one last month!!!!

I'm jes a newbie here - so please excuse my ignorance!! Who's Charlie Trotter? I'm gathering he's some 4star chef and this is some kind've gourmet RAW cookbook ??:) !

Considering I live on an Island - if I can find this at Costco - I'll be totally stoked!! Our Barnes and Noble here has a surprisingly 'sad' selection of RAW cookbooks. Lots of Vegan stuff - lots of cooked stuff but RAW??? nope - it sucked cuz I had saved a bunch of money up so I could buy some awesome books - and walked out empty handed. It was so disheartening. :( But I did find later that day at our health food store - one copy of David Wolfes Sunshine Food Book hidden in a corner on the shelf - that made me smile :D !! Yippeee!!! But not many recipes in there I discovered. Alissa's book has been my constant companion! I love all the recipes I've tried so far - but I would love to expand my library!!

I think the point was that the book was at COSTCO! Surprising to see it there.

ditto! I'm surprised that our borders at the mall has a decent selection of raw food.. more than barnes and noble it seems.

Wow! I would have been excited to see that. We don't have a Costco nearby, by if Sam's Club would have done that, I would have grabbed it up.

Did you buy it? Should I?

Yes, I know the book is a few years old. I checked it out from the library a long time ago.

I was just so happy to see a RAW book on the end cap among on the sad cookbooks.

Especially on a day where the store was swarming with cooked samples - it made me feel "I'm not alone."

Jul - thanks for letting us know. It's great to see Raw 'out in public' and older or not, still a great message. Everyone here heard about this Raw lifestyle somewhere, what better place to start. Thanks for sharing your enthusiam - keep it up!;)

I love it when I see Raw books anywhere..LOL... I was even excited to find them in the library. I have had nice conversations about Raw with one of the women in checkout..and she noticed the weight loss and improved appearance from my recent fast. :)

It is great that more and more people are being exposed to the idea of "Raw." It usually takes a while for people to be comfortable with making changes in their lives..and it all begins in the mind and with how things are preceived. Foa somone on the SAD, even casually perusing the book could open the mind..and begin preparation for the next exposure to Raw...

Thanks for sharing!!! :D

It actually helps to have celebrities like Demi Moore create a buzz for it.
