This week is eight weeks raw for me. The first 6 were easy, I was 100% by week 2 and stayed that way mostly through week 6. I lost 9 of the 15 pounds I want to loose and now I'm craving cooked foods like rice and beans, nori with rice, soymilk. I don't want to loose the ground I've gained. My digestion was great, no stomach aches now I'm constipated and my tummy hurts often. I know raw is right. I've been hungry all the time, really hungry. After week 2 I wasn't super hungry anymore, now it's back. Any suggestions. Anyone eat just rice and everything else raw? I feel like I'm not sure I can stick it out even though I know I'll fel better. This is really strange!!

Opinion:
-If you are HIGHLY uncomfortable or fretting....this defeats the purpose. If this is the case, go back to a level of eating that you are very comfortable with, set smaller goals, and stretch from there. You'll get to YOUR goals and at YOUR pace.

cinnamongirl, you sound like you know deep down what the comfortable path for you is. . . you said you feel better eating raw, and i know bloating and poor digestion was a huge reason i stayed completely raw and never looked back once, it was too miserable before with wheat, dairy, etc.
so i just kept remembering how that felt and it was great motivation.
as for the cravings you mentioned, have you made them raw? if i'm craving ice cream, i make raw ice cream and it's 100x better! if i'm craving something like a plate of nachos, i make veggie chips, spread sunflower refried beans and macadamia nacho cheese over them with avocados, olives and homemade salsa.
you can definitely make raw rice, i make wonderful "sushi rice" with jicama and pumpkin seeds blended in a food processor with some apple cider vinegar, or braggs, or other spices, i experiment with different flavors all the time. press the excess liquid from it, and it's the most perfect sushi rice that all my friends adore!
and the nut milk i make (recipes are everywhere!) is also a thousand times better than the soymilk i remember, with none of the side effects it used to give me(bloating, gas, etc.)
i hope this helps, it's absolutely no fun to doubt something you know is instinctively right, and it's not fun to be struggling with poor health. good luck. . .
