I am not necessarily a stranger to the raw lifestyle, but I am a recent member to the forums. I'm 28 years old (will be 29 in June) and have been married for a little over four years. My husband has been raw since January 2006 and has been an inspiration to me... he has lost almost 100 pounds and is now running and is more energetic overall. I have been about 60-70% raw since January 2006 and have lost about twenty-five pounds by incorporating more vegetables and fruit in my diet, along with exercise (the motivation for exercise comes and goes). I feel a lot better when I eat healthy, but I'll be the first to admit, I love food and have a hard time getting past the food=fun mentality (such as being with family and friends). My goal is to get upwards to 85-90% raw.
Other than wanting to incorporate more raw foods into my diet for overall health, I want to be more toned and more energetic. So along with acknowledging making an effort to eating better, I guess that means I also have to acknowledge making an effort to get moving and to stick with it! :D
So here's to day one! One day at a time, right?
