Date sugar

Has anyone ever made it from home? I've read that they are just dehydrated dates ground up. Has anyone attempted this and was successful? If so, how long were the dates dehydrated for? I'm trying to substitute things for my nonraw family in place of regular refined white sugar. Thank you!

Nope. I've never dehydrated dates. Some of my "seconds" I got from the date people had already started going to "sugar", crystalized and everything. I'd say give it a whirl.
