Ok here's a question from a newbie. Twice I've tried to do a juice fast from a trusted source here in the uk. Each time on the third day I got a migraine of mega proportions, I mean partial numbness and paralysis on one side of the body, continuous vomiting, major light intolerance, huge huge pain. Why?
My diet is pretty good anyway, I'm about 60% raw and moving towards more, I can't eat meat (and don't want to) anyway as it makes me feel ill, I can't drink caffeine as I very sensitive to it, don't each much wheat or dairy etc. so what is triggering such a major reaction?
I'm happy moving gradually to a more and more raw diet but was so scared the first time this happened. I thought it was a fluke as I very rarely get Migraine and never so severe so I tried the fast a second time convinced it was unrelated but no third day and there I went again.

Any thoughts anyone?

im on day 3 of a juice fast and im laying here right now with the top of my jaw cramping and dull pain behind my eyes. i might just go to bed to avoid what i know is coming within the next couple of hours. same thing on day 3 of every juice fast for me. always.

day three seems to always be the gigantic initial hump that you need to get over. day four and its downhill from there

Thanks for the replys, I'll check out those links. I was really upset about such a severe reaction as I was feeling great till the migraine set in and could have happily continued. After the migraines I was so wacked, weak and ill that I ate whatever Hubby put in front of me. Needless to say he doesn't want me to try any juice fast ever again, poor bloke he serious thought I was dying of a stroke or something, mind you so did I.
