I've done liver flushes during juice fasting with no ill effects. Including the things you mention is generally not done on a juice fast but everyone's different, you tweak it for your own body. Including oils and carob etc. though means you wouldn't reach as deep a level of detox than if you left them out. Certainly in the 92 day juice feast oils are included.
Master cleanse is a fast using only a drink made from lemon juice, cayenne and maple syrup, lots of info online if you search.

OMG, this sounds like a recipe for disaster!:D
Seriously, first of all, what do you want to achieve in fasting?
The definition of "fasting" has modernized so you may be hearing or reading other folks referring to smoothies or apples as a "fast." On a personal note, I do not consider that to be fasting....
If you want to truly "fast," in other words, abstaining from solid foods so that your body can divert its energy into detoxifying on a concentrating level, heal, repair, rebuild etc THAN fats such as coconut oil would defeat that purpose.
cacao powder- would not qualify but also with the stimulating effects, while fasting, this can be overwhleming to the organs.
carob-would not qualify ( still is food )
agave- void of fiber but is a sweetner that some folks use in the master cleanse recipe by Stanley Burrough. Personally, I would not use isolated sweetners in fasting.
coconut water-qualifies.
I would not recommend doing LIVER cleanse during fasting. Myself, only my opinion, depending on how long a person has been fasting, I would not recommend he or she to do a LIVER cleanse that contains OILS in the recope until the body has transitioned/rebuilt over a diligent amount of time. Shocking the organs with the sudden and profoudn change can creat weaknesses. The human body, organs and our "systems" have a rhythm and we ought to honor them as well.
ALWAYS best to do a little reading/research before diving into fasting.
The VERY best to you ;)

OMG MissLinda! I just read somewhere else that fasting causes stones and doing the liver cleanse is recommended. You make sense to me. There is so much information to learn I am overwhelmed. I just wanted to start fasting but am afraid of causing more harm due to lack of knowledge. But I don't want to create stones either. Blehhhhh! So much to learn! So little time!

Luckitri, are you sure that is correct?
Doing a liver cleanse depending on the persons stones size and bile and duct issues factor in when considering a liver cleanse such as the infamous "Schulze" one.
Fasting can acutally asissts in the downsizing of stones and improving bile flow. What sites did you read?
You will only create stones thru unhealthy means of eating/lifestyle.

Luckitri, I found the post. Clarification on that. It doesn't form stones IF the fast is done with strategic awareness.
Personally, that is why I STRESS the importance of blood flow whether using herbs, roots, teas etc. If the bile becomes stagnant depending on the person's health stagnancy--stones can form and as well as over stress on the body/liver to handle the moving of toxins. It's not a overnite process. More so, that is why whenever possible, strenghten the body with raw food lifestyle and be able bodies to do a concentrated cleanse.
EVERYTHING must be done with full awareness, sensitivity and consistency.
