Is it just me or does she look really depleted?

If I were to see her as a client, I would be concerned for her. She has the start of lower sanpaku which usually indicates deficiency in life force. Also she has upper sanpaku a little. (meaning the white at the top of her eyes show more than usual).

I have seen this also on people who have thyroid issues. Do you guys think that an extended juice fast (92 days) and then a pretty agressive liver flush might be the reason for this? She looks lovely otherwise.

The again it could be just the video.

anyhoo,,,she's certainly a bad ass. She goes to the edge so we can see her do it first- bless her. hardcore lady...like an astronaut. whew!

Not sure what this means (sanpaku) but her eyes are the same as they were before her weight loss. I noticed it right away after the 92 day fast and had to check out her eyes before and they seem the same. I think she is doing everything really well and getting help- she's not alone in this. To me its a place to start over from, a new life in a really clean body. I would love to do this cleanse at least 1 time in my life= after being raw a little longer AND somewhere else besides in my own kitchen cooking for my family- like i don't know maybe Hawaii:rolleyes: !:p My hats off to her !:D

yeah, I guess it could be the camera angle. When I frst wached the linked video, she looked kind of sad to me..sweet as always, just sad or tired.

It could also be that her weight loss makes her eyes look bigger to me...just a little.

My eyes prefer a little more weight. I don't mean to dis her or anything but my eyes really have not adjusted to the thinness of raw. I do not think that it looks healthy. It scares me. Looks too weak and fragile to me.

I know what your saying but again you/she/me doesn't have to look this way soon after the cleanse is fully complete = then you move on to the rebuilding and strengthening of your body and I think that will be her next step.:)

Oh duh...True about the rebuilding process.

I hadn't even thought of it (the extreme weight loss and rebuilding phenomena) even though I have seen it on quite a few raw foodists, especially those that have serious toxicity issues, chronic illness etc. She looks to be of such a healthy weight, tha it hadn't even occurred to me. It will interesting to see how she looks in a couple of month, presuming that she resumes a regular solid diet.

I bet her internal organs gleam, lol.

imagine the gagging taste you would get if an entire bottle of pills began to absorb in your mouth before you got a chance to swallow them..multiply that feeling by the product of ["the taste of ocean water" x "the taste of swamp water"], and then raise the entire equation to "nails on a chalkboard"...

and then add 5.

My understanding is that the thyroid is a lot harder to fix than "just" going raw, although certain foods agitate it (kale, oj) and others make the symptoms go away. Still, most raw foodists stop getting TESTED, and therefore believe it "cured", and go around telling others, etc. And it may not be so is all. I haven't read Angela's books in awhile, and forget if she mentions her tests came out normal or if she got retested. Does anyone know?

The thing is, even if you cure one thing, where are people getting their B12 for 92 days "feasting" on juice? There ARE deficiencies that can crop up, of course. We're all still learning, totally. Nobody is in "perfect" health. I have seen many raw foodists that would scare me from raw, and I certainly am not at optimal health yet either....

I am not positive on her thyroid now, I will try and find that out. She says she uses quite a few supplements during the entire cleanse Like green powders with b12 along with kelp. It seems to me she covers all the basis with this feast.

yea..im taking NFL "Natures First Food" green powder every other day (only because i hate the taste, personally..) and im also doing a vitamin b complex that has b12 included. dunno how supplements are viewed by the gurus of the Feast, but im the guru of my own body and i view them in a fine light

Even organic food isn't what it used to be - the soil is too deficient. Supplements are really important, especially B12, I feel.

Solace, I just heard Angela speak last night and she no longer takes anything for her thyroid. She slowly weened herself off all of her meds, naturopathic ones included.

With regards to the comment on B-12, I so agree. B12 is something I so don't play with. Some folks don't consider it a big deal, my boyfriend included. I personally don't want to take any chances. From what I've researched, some folks become deficient in it, and some don't.

I take a B-12 supplement about every 3 days. I don't want to take it everyday because I don't believe I need it everyday, but I do supplement. In Chicago, the produce isn't the most exceptional, and I doubt we get adequate doses of essential vitamins and minerals here so I make allowences.

I agree with not taking supplements everyday the cleaner your body is, David Wolfe says its good to go 2-3 days on and 2-3 days off your supplements so thats usually what I do. :) I love that you are posting your videos on Youtube, I just noticed your link and I will subscibe to you. I have been asked to do a Raw testamonial on there too ! I will do one over the next 2 weeks some time, I have overcome so much since being raw, I think video is a powerfull way to share how amazing raw can be. Thanks for updating us on Angela !!!

Hey Solace,
Yeah, wouldn't it be great if everyone on RFT could do a video!! You are so right, video is an amazingly powerful tool. I love using it.

Sorry about the link issue. I changed my URL last week and forgot to change it on my signature. Oops. I'm glad you told me about it. Thank you so much.:p

Yep, Angela is a pretty cool lady. She'll be doing a retreat in a couple weeks in Michigan regarding healthy weightloss using raw foods. I think it's definately worth going to for those who are looking to lose some weight but need some guidance, and I don't think it costs too much either. Of course I have no idea where everyone lives but if anyone is interested I'll post info about it on my blog.

Solace, can't wait to see your video!!!:p Please let us know when it's posted.:D

My computer skills aren't real savvy. I'd love to watch that Angela video and can't get it to play, but I've watched other you-tube clips. Any suggestions? Or anywhere I can read about the program she's doing?
