Tomorrow is my 34th birthday and I am really sick and tired of feeling TIRED! Yes, I am a SAHM of 4 kids ages 5-15, but in my opinion, that shouldn't matter!

I love to run and 3 weeks ago I started running 15-18 miles a week, until I hurt my ankle last week. Up until then, I was just barely starting the raw thing, just eating raw for breakfast and lunch. (I completely gave up meat in January of this year)

Since my injury (I think it's sprained), it hurts to walk, (although I have gone on several hikes with my family because I go stir crazy). I instantly snap into this horrible pattern of eating snacks when I am bored or upset.

I do not like the way I look in pictures or in the mirror, even though I only have about 15 pounds to lose. I drink excessive amounts of coffee, and even get heart palpitations from this! I am just so tired of it...

I will still have to cook regular vegetarian meals for my family every night... believe me, when I went veg in January, I got HUUUUGE complaints form everyone and still do occasionally. i really do not want to push the raw thing on them.

I do not have the budget for a dehydrator or a juicer. All I have is a regular blender and a mini food processor... Is this enough...?

Does anyone know of a bookstore that would have a raw food section...? I don't want to wait for a book to come in the mail - I need recipes asap!

Thanks for listening! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

I to am a SAHM, We have 5 kiddos ages 3-19.

Try your library for books

http://rawpleasure.com.au/ go to this link for a free ebook while you wait for Alissa's book and DVD in the mail.

I've been a RAW Enthusiast for the past year and I just got a dehydrator last month. With a large family I'd say get one sooner than that, they'll love it, but it's not mandatory.

Maraw at http://www.therawtable.com/
also has cool recipies on her site plus you can subscribe to her magazine.

Best wishes on your journey.

Star a blog, get a new water jug and have fun:D

I don't have the budget for a dehydrator or juicer either. I have a blender, food processor and a coffee/spice grinder. With these I am able to have enough variety to not feel like I have to go out and eat. I do go out and eat every couple days however, but that is for the non-raw wife and kids, not for myself. I don't eat anything non-raw at home.
