I wanted to experiment with some breads so I went to the HFS looking for some barley and rye.
In Alissa's book, for the rye bagels, she calls for rye BERRIES... what I bought were rye GRAINS... will these work? This is all they had. They are Shiloh Farms brand.
As for barley they had hulled and hulless (not unhulled... it says hulless). The hulled looked like pearled barley which I've heard isn't raw. The hull-less barley looked similar to the rye grain I bought, it's a darkish color. These are the only types of barley they sell at my HFS and they are by Shiloh Farms. Anyone ever heard of hulless barley, will it sprout?
