Hello everyone, I am contemplating an Excalibur dehydrator and my question is for those of you who have the Excalibur with the timer, does the timer make a continuous ticking noise when you set it, like some timers, or is it silent. Thank you so much in advance for taking the time to respond, I really appreciate it!

Many blessings,

Marcia

Yep. Silent. I like the sound of my dehydrator running. I also like the sound of my Freshlife sprouters spraying the water around. It's "living" sounds...

Veganforlife, thank you for your reply also. I will probably like the sound of the dehydrator running too, (just not a ticking timer), as I sleep with the noise of a heater fan (without the heat) at night for an even grey noise effect. The Freshlike sprouters spraying water around sounds comforting too! I'll look into those. Thanks so much for helping out, I really appreciate you!

Blessings,

Marcia

yup. completely silent. couldn't live without the timer. I guess if you want to go cheaper you could buy one of those timers at the hardwood store that turn the power off, but don't those make a ticking sound?
