View Full Version : Almond Pulp
How long is wet almond pulp good if it has been in the 'fridge'? I was lazy and did not dehydrate it, but I do not want to waste it. I have a lot! It has probably been over a month since it has been in there in a container. Thanks for your responses. :-)

IMO, unless it smells sour, I consider almond pulp to still be "good." That is one of the nice things about Raw vegan foods, not as much concern about bacterial issues. People even intentionally make soured items..with no ill effects.
Next time, you could just stick it in the freezer until you are ready to do something with it. :)
To follow up for others. I smelled the old pulp and it smelled very sour, so nut pulps does go rancid in the 'fridge'. I also have dehydrated almond pulp in the 'fridge' and that smells fresh. Probably even better if kept in the freezer.

Yeah, I was thinking the same about wet pulp going sour - if almond milk goes sour after a few days in the fridge, then the pulp's gotta do the same. But yeah, you can freeze the wet pulp next time you're not in the mood to dehydrate it.
