How long does nut pulp last?

I have some old dehydrated nut pulp around from like six months ago. Is it ok to use? I have heard that it goes bad real quick. Why is that?

Can you smell it or taste it to see if it's rancid? I'd toss it. We're not talking fresh here. I don't have the sharpest taste buds. It doesn't sound very appealing. Freeze it next time.

Freezing is Always a Good idea, it does keep it from going rancid. If you can't eat it...You can always use it for a Body Scrub.........

dont eat it from six months ago. i dehydrate mine right away and save to use for almond butter or flour.
