Some questions about storing all your raw food goodies:
1. do you store nuts and seeds in the fridge? or just in a cabinet?
2. where do you store your dehydrated goods? (i just made alissa's carrot pecan burgers tonight...YUM!...but i don't want to put them in the fridge b/c i like them room temp. can i store them in a container at room temp for a day or two or will they go bad?)
3. does apple cider vinegar need refridgeration after its opened? it didn't say so on the container but it seems like something that might need to be in a cool temp...
Any other comments/tips on food storage would be fun to share on this thread.
I store my nuts in seeds in airtight containers in my pantry.
I do not refrigerate my apple cider vinegar and so far it has seemed fine.
I would refrigerate the burgers and redehydrate for a little while to warm up. But that is just my opinion. I made Alissa's carrot burgers and that is what I did. I tried to leave out the broccoli soup once cause I didn't like to eat cold soup and it went bad fast being unrefridgerated and I had to throw it away. I figure it is better to be safe than sorry.
I do however, store my raw grawnola in a ziploc unrefridgerated and it was fine.
I store my raw honey, agave, and almond butter in the cupboard too at room temperature.

I store the bulk of nuts in the freezer. I only keep a small amount out to use daily.

They will keep better in the fridge. Pull ou what you will eat in a day and heat in the dehydrator[/quote]

ACV is best kept in the fridge after opening.

Here in AZ we must keep it all in the fridge or freezer.
I have seen nut companies advise that keeping them in the freezer is best.
Even in the cold months I know raw people who have gotten ill from their own creations being out too long.
I only like things very very fresh and I don't like them cold either.

I keep my nuts in the freezer, my seeds in the fridge, my legumes in jars on the counter. I put my dehydrated stuff in the fridge unless its crackers, those I leave out and my ACV is in the cupboard...

Nuts/seeds either in refrigerator in glass jars or in freezer in plastic bags.
AVC never refrigerated but something to consider now.
Granola, glass jars in pantry, crackers in plastic containers.
I have lots of glass jars so my first choice of preference is using them.

I keep my nuts and seeds in glass jars in a LOWER COOL DARK cabinet
I keep apples, tomatoes, bananas, oranges, pineapple, and mangos in a bowl on the countertop.
I keep greens in the fridge.
