I feel off the wagon -.- around december ><
it got to hard, I can't afford any of those great "cooking" appliances u guys have, so I can't reaaly make alot.
I started craving veggie burgers, veggie pizzas, my husbands vegan sushi, etc.
I'm trying to start again, please help me!!! :D
do any of you have any veggie recipes for burgers? (with little or no nuts/seeds in it? can quinoa work?), salad dressings, something...
about the only thing I can make is zucchini w/pasta sauce which I found on this site last week^^ super good & not tired of it so far, but I want to be able to make raw meals out of what ever I have in my fridge
(I have no job, so I can't really go "specialty shopping" for raw additives)
eating cooked really sux, but taste so good and filling ><; yet I have no energy, face is oily, & I gained weight  I'm 118lbs now!!! :(
please help me!

Why no nuts? Victoria Boutenko has a fabulous recipe for veggie burger but it has nuts. Nuts are good for you and have good fats and nutrients that your body needs.

What kitchen tools do you have? food processor? blender? I'm assuming you don't have a dehydrator which would make burgers difficult unless you want to try your hand at dehydrating in the oven.
My first year of raw I made no recipes at all except salad dressings. It's nice to have some recipes to make for something special but raw is totally possible without them if you set your mind to it.

If I may suggest:
Most people do not begin raw with loads of equipment. I surely didn't. You buy a piece here and there when you can. All you really need is YOU.
Start out eating simple. There are hundreds of varities of fruits and vegetable you can eat without any preparation beyond washing them or slicing them with any old knife.
Second, Get creative! Experiment with your food and tools. Yes you may not have this or that. But we All have somethings. Try using what you do have and appreciating those things. I have come up with several things that work better then some of the name brands things. Sometimes big major equipment is not all its cracked up to be, although I have a couple pieces I love, but it took me time to get those things and appreciation for the things I did have.

Hello! Just saw your post...im from chester va. too. I am just getting started,I didnt fall of the wagon though,i was eating a yucky sad diet.:( As I have always eaten this way(sad), some days are hard. I went out and bought as much as I could afford to get started. But I noticed that many days I am just using a knife or blender:rolleyes: . One of my favorites is chopped tomato,a lttle cilantro, squeeze of lime, avacado, and chopped pepper(not hot,I really like sweet red ones).I add a sprinkle of I think its called Hemalayon sea salt.Sometimes I also add a few raw nuts, whichever I happen to have. I got a lot of my special stuff at good foods grocery. Have you been there? I want to go to ellwood thompsons but I am broke right now so will have to eat what is already here!:D It is nice to know there are more people around here eating this way. I think my friends think I have lost my mind..lol . hee hee Well best of luck to you!, laura
