Bonehead Move with my Vita-Mix Blender

I'm so bummed. I did a really dumb thing with my Vita Mix blender and wanted to share in hopes of this not happening to anyone else.

I was yickety-yaking with someone while I plunged my smoothie. Unfortunately, the lid was not on the blender and when I used the plunger I ended up cutting off the end of it.

I felt like finda sick after doing that. Anyone know where I can purchase one new plunger?

I feel much better! Found the replacment plunger on-line for $12.00 at vitamix.com. :)

Try not to feel too badly. The VitaMix salesman at Costco (where I bought mine) got me to smile when he noted during his demo, "if the plunger is not fully secured, you will of coursse have to go the full three minutes of grinding." Must be quite a common occurance. Glad you were not hurt in any way.
