View Full Version : My dogs are in my lap begging for my food

Hi everyone! Just wanted to share this funny story. I tried my first raw almond bread last night and when I took it out of the dehydrator it seemed firm like bread. Today after I got it out of storage it had fallen into sorta a mushy cornbread consistency. So to make the most of it I mushed it up added diced cucumber, diced tomatoes, and some sea salt. WOW I love raw food and so do my dogs! Who would have thought something so simple could taste so good! :)

yes, i had the same thing happen w/ some almond crackers too & i either tossed them ontop of salads as "croutons", or did what you did. My dog also luvs raw too. dates, and believe it or not, green smoothies are her fav's.

One of my dogs (a female pug named Rosie!) hears the Vitamix start up and she is right under my feet waiting for her little dish of smoothie. If I forget to give her some she just stares at me as if she is saying... "how dare you not share!" So cute!

That is cute, guys!
Both our dogs eat about 50 % raw and you wouldn't believe how beautiful and healthy they are!
We give them soaked oats with a little pulp from making carrot-apple juice for breakfast.
Then more pulp with a little wild salmon (in tins), raw eggs, some chopped up veggies (a great way to use scraps too!), olive oil, dulse or kelp powder, sometimes cooked potatoes or rice (for a special treat), and perhaps 1 1/2 cups of dogfood, each.
Their fur is soooooooo shiny, and they don't have that dog smell at all.
Oh, and they have really good taste too. Their favorites are papaya, mango, avocado, persimmons... you name it! The more exotic, the better! lol
You should see them eat watermelon in the summer... :D
Here's the whole furry family, anxiously awaiting for their slave to finish preparing 'supsup':

My cat freaks out over green smoothies...he'll paw at me and climb on me until he gets some. Same with bananas. Odd b/c the other cat could care less.

I so enjoy reading about others animal stories. Cute pic Carmella - it looks like a replica of my animals and me except for the beard. He He! My cat is usually trying to get underneath my arms while I'm preparing my food. The little fur ball stinker. ;)
