I have been RAW for 2 weeks now. I've been following the recipes in Alissa's book and I feel like a different person. I have always been about 40lbs. overweight. I just couldn't manage to get the weight off. I was always hungry, tired (@ 25! - the lack of energy kept me from working out), and as a result my confidence level was at rock bottom. I am now in nursing school, and I've been learning about all of the wonderful ways that our bodies work. When I learned about Alissa's website and looked into the RAW food diet, it was like a lightning bolt hit me. This was how I was supposed to be eating to allow my body to do what it needed most to do to remain in it's optimal condition. I can't wait for the day when I can share this amazing way of eating with my future patients. I am so excited, and thankful for this diet and the wonderful group here. It's great to have a place to discuss the many questions that I'm sure will arise along the way on this raw food journey.

WELCOME!!!

How excited you sound! Three months ago, I could have written that (sans the nurse part!). So happy you found raw and love it like I do!!

Thanks for the welcome guys! I was wondering if someone could tell me a little bit about the master cleanse. As I said earlier I've only been raw for 2 weeks (though I've been looking into it for months) and I would love to get more information on that. If you could even just point me in the right direction that would be great. My understanding at present is that it's basically juice fasting for an extended period of time, is that correct? Thanks
