From all that I've read here, it seems people NEVER detox by 2 days! I am 2 days in and I feel horrible. Headache, NAUSIA, week, shaking, flu like..... I don't know how I am going to continue like this with my 2 kids and a nursing baby. But I'm very determined. I don't want to go "gradual" for all the reasons that Alissa has given. I just won't be successful if I try to do that. I'm hoping this is a quick process for me. Getting it over with. Has anyone else detoxed this soon.....what was it like for you?

Let me just tell you, you're not alone. I completely had horrible detox on and off for about the first month! The first few days, no energy. I was so tired all I wanted to was sleep. And I was crabby and puffy and looked like crap because my eyes always looked tired and closed. I also had a sore throat and horrible post nasal drip from day one. Then about a week into the diet, I had horrible body aches HORRIBLE, I lost my appetite, everything hurt to where I couldn't sit, sleep, or move without pain. I kept making myself steam baths and only had some watermelon juice at night. The next day I woke up and felt like a layer of sickness was gone. The body aches were completely gone and all of the cold symptoms that I was having disappeared as well. Hang in there......I know I too kept reading about how detox might not happen for like 3 months, but when you actually talk to people, you find out it's more common to happen right from the start!

Most times when it happens right away like that, it's cooked food withdrawals - that is what it sounds like you are experiencing. But yeah, some people experience cleansing symptoms early on too. You've eliminated something from your diet and your system and your body is reacting to it being gone.

It was immediate for me - and lasted about a month on and off. So worth it when you get to the other side! Hang in there!!

Thanks for your encouragement! We can now add excessive vomiting to the equation. Since I origionally posted an hour or so ago, I have vomited 4 times! I feel like my stomach is SO acidic. I ate a few kashi crackers, I had to, to slow down the vomiting. I have a week stomach anyway. I feel better a little.

I'm no doctor - but that sounds like the flu that's going around - perhaps you picked it up somewhere - how's everyone else in the family? If they get it, not detox a bug?

I suppose it could be the stomach flu. My hubby isn't feeling well either. But if it is the flu, I still don't want to be thrown off the course. What better way to get rid of the flu than to eat raw right?
I tend to have nausea problems very easily! Too much of this or that sets me off right away. Maybe i should stick to avacodos and greens today and keep the sugery and citris fruits out. That sounds good to me right now.
It''s funny, somehow your stomach just knows.:p
