Hey there all,

I finally had some luck with sprouting, but then my garbanzo beans got some black spots on them. What a buzzkill for me! Is that normal? They're smelling really sort of sweet too; is that normal??

I'm wondering if I need a better source for such things than the not-so-nice or busy health food store around here. I did some searching online, and it seems really expensive! For those of you who purchase from the sprout people or water sun, have you found that their sprouts are extra good or not so good or what?! I don't want to spend $75 on sprout seeds that don't sprout!

I would really, really appreciate any advice you guys have who are much more experienced with this... Thanks in advance!

Eva

I never had garbanzos turn black or buy with spots or get spots. Any signs of bugs eating them?

I buy my seeds locally at health food store. $75 sounds like TONS to spend on seeds. A little goes a far way. What type of seeds are you looking for? Even my garbs are not for sprouting, but do sprout, and yes organic. Where do you live?
