so im almost 5 weeks into 100% (with a few days 98%) raw, and i havent lost almost any weight, although i definitely need to lose (i am 5'3" and about 180lbs). i have been eating a LOT of nuts, and seaweed, and i'm thinking these might be causing it. has anyone else experienced this? i want to be reassured. :D thanks

Yes. Keep in mind that it didn't take 5 weeks for you to arrive at your current weight and conditioning level. Give yourself a generous time frame of 1 year or more to simplify your diet and incorporate more fresh fruits and vegetables and modify your activity levels. Be joyful in your living and pursuing your goals! It will happen for you I promise! (It did for me!). :)....I lost 1 lb per week for over 1 year! Ha! ha!

:D I just saw in a magazine how dandelion tea is a great detoxer and also it helps u lose weight. U can make tea without using hot water. I usually put the water through a tea maker and let it cool. Then put the tea bags in. U can also use the sun if there is any out. Also lemon water sipping all day is good. It detoxs the body and I think it taste great. I read to also put some lemon zest in the water. I have been trying this for the last 4 days and have lost a little over 1#. According to the article that u need to detox in order to lose weight. I think it is probably why I have had a problem losing.
Just some ideas to try. Dandelions should be easy to find soon so think fresh leaves would be great or dehydrate and then use.
Looking forward to dandelions on our lawn this spring.:D

Oh yea. Dandelion tea is also a diaretic. I did have to go to the bathroom more but I was also drinking a lot more than I had before. When it is cool out I dont want to drink as much but I have dif kinds of tea I like to drink daily for health and I always drink them cold but it has me making more bathroom trips.

It very well could be the nuts. You say you're eating a lot, well that's a lot of fat. (I know, I know, it's good fat) Just up your veggies and fruits and get fat from a fresh source like avocados. And are you working out? Drinking enough water? Make sure you get in a half hour of cardio at least 3 times a week. I aim for every day though. Good luck!
