dehydrating

I am a newbie and was wondering if there was any way to dehydrate using the oven. I am in my first week of being raw, but I already feel so great that I think it will be easy to keep going. I just don't want to go out and purchase an expensive dehydrater until I am sure that I will be using it in the long term. Also, any suggestions for easy quick dinner recipes? Thanks

Thing is, the dehydrator has both the low heat and a fan constantly blowing. I tried the oven before and it just cooked the food, even on the lowest setting (which on MY oven back then was still too high to be raw temps) and the oven door cracked open - it was still cooked.

You can either get the more inexpensive one from Walmart, walmart.com for about $50 (online) or less (in-store most times if on sale) and if you don't find yourself using later on down the line, you can always sell it on eBay or on Craigslist. Or, you can check either of those places for a used one just to start out with and then if you find you like dehydrating, then you can upgrade to a better one if you want.
