Guava Fruit

Hello!
I really want to try a guava! Can anyone describe it to me? and Where do you buy them?

I have only tried guava once picked from a tree in Maui this past Xmas.
It was seedy and really juicy and sweet, but not sticky. I didnt eat it much we just rubbed it on our faces and got a fresh $100 guava facial in the rain forest for free :p

I also had passion fruit for the first time there. DIVINE!!! it was crunchy on the outside and you puncture a whole in it and suck all the meat and juice out. very sweet and very sensuous.

i dont think you can get guava in the regular market, i have never seen them.
If you could then it probably wouldnt be as good as it was in Hawaii Im guessing

I've never had a juicy guava before. It's probably b/c I get them at the grocery store. :rolleyes:

I'm not sure how to describe them, but they taste pretty good to me. I eat them as-is. Peel, seeds & all. :D

Yeahhh guava grows all over Hawaii, wildly :) I remember the first day I got there, I was walking with new friends in a forest and found some right away :)
