cheap vanilla beans

I found a site that sells vanilla beans for $1 a bean. This is almost to cheap to be true. Has anyone bought from him yet? It is http://www.myspace.com/organicvanilla. I would like some opinions on this. I sure would love to be able to use vanilla beans but at $5-7 a bean I cannot afford it.
