I have several coconuts the brown kind, i make milk out of them but i could also shed them but i don't know how to use them that way.
So does anyone have any ideas for shedded coconuts?
I going to make a coconut milk smoothie for breakfast right NOW!:D

Take the "meat" (hate that word) out of the brown coconuts - it's okay if it has the brown skin on it. Grate them in FP or blender and freeze. This is great for adding to smoothies, ice cream, cookies, puddings, or other ways!

Or a dish of sort.

Lucy, you don't take the brown skin off? Last time I opened a mature coconut everything went sort-of well until I looked at the other side of the chunks of "meat", they all had a thin shell on them. I had to peel it off with a veggie peeler which took a loooong time. I guess I should have tried to eat it to see what it was like. Do you eat it or just put it in smoothies with the skin/shell on?

Yeah, that thin brown skin? I just leave it on. Once it's blended, it doesn't hurt anything. I use brown-skinned coconut in my smoothies!
