Yesterday I decided I wanted pizza crust that called for sprouted buckwheat. So I ran down to my local HFS and picked up some raw buckwheat. I let them soak for about an hour, drained, then put them in a paella pan lined with wax paper. It called for a cool dark place to sprout so I put them in my oven. The sprout peeps said 2-3 days rinsing every 8 or so hours.

well, today I checked them and they already had tails! done!

wow, that was easy.

pizza here we come!

Cool! Buckwheat amazes me how fast and easy it is to sprout. I'm forever sprouting it, then dehydrating it - buckwheaties! They they are ready for grinding into buckwheat flour!
Okay, now, are you gonna advance to other sprouts? They are sooooo easy and fun!!
One thing - you're making me dizzy changing your avatar...

My HFS has buckwheat groats and they say this and flour is what they have carried for 20 years. Are you all sprouting groats? If not groats, what should I be asking for? Thanks for the help. Rita
