Beckla, I know Alex Spurlock. She and Alex just had a baby boy - Laken James. He was born December 9th. He is a cutie! I was one of Alex's clients the last two years I was Vegan. She is a wonderful teacher! I learned a lot from her. Not only pertaining to food, but also for my body and soul. Alex is a raw Vegan chef. Check out her website:

Lucy, did she just become raw? Most of the recipes on her site are cooked and I didn't see any indication of her being raw... just curious.

Hey Ama - I don't believe so. In my recent correspondance with her which has become few and far inbetween, you know being a Mom and all? She never mentioned it and I feel she would have since I told her I was 100%. So no, I don't believe she is. She IS Vegan however.
That little boy (Laken) is a cutie - patootie!! WOW and think how healthy that little guy is? Cool parents too.
He (Laken) has really changed his looks. He's looking like a little toddler now! Awwwww!
