I want to start off my challenge with a carrot/ginger/apple juice (5 days)...but I can't figure out how many carrots and apples I need. I plan on buying all organic.

1 bunch of carrots will make about 10-12 oz of juice (400ml)
add 6-8 apples to make a liter
i use a piece of ginger about the size of my thumb but i like it with some heat and im sure my thumb is bigger than yours

Figure 80% - 90% juice content from the produce. That means a grocery sack full of apples will be 6-8 quarts of juice. Carrots, 4-6 quarts.
Depending on how much you drink per day, times 5 days, will equal 3 to 4 sacks or more. Hope that helps.

You can't buy too much because if you do, you will not let them waste, you will juice them. That way you will know for yourself how much to buy.
As far as a recipe......Juice and mix and drink. That way you will again know how much of what to add.
Have a Wonderful, Rich Juice Fast.........
