EvaRB and I had the pleasure of going to chef Richard's raw food tasting at Chianti. Here are some pics of our feast. I ate some dishes up before I remembered to take pics!

Pictured are:
Fab Cakes – dill & hijiki seaweed give these delicious cakes their ‘crabby’ flavor, served with tartar sauce.

Sun-dried Tomato Pesto Cappillini - medley of ground basil, sun-dried tomatoes, pine & hazelnuts over zucchini noodles.

Portabella Pizzette-mushroom 'crust' with tomato, oregano, green pepper, onion, and cashew cheese.

Kick'n, Broccoli, Ziti-Hand-cut zucchini ziti served in a red pepper, thyme, 'cream' sauce with broccoli.

Strawberry Ice Cream-scoopable, meltable, & homemade. 'Zen & Berry's dairy-free strawberry ice cream.

He said he'd post the recipes. Can't wait!

Hey, I just spent the day with Richard to celebrate his 2 year raw anniversary. We had dinner with him and his wife.

Richard went raw after reading my book 2 years ago. He’s the best!

We sat down to eat and he had some of the food that was left over from yesterday and I thought the crab cakes looked familiar. They are mine from the book! I haven’t made these for years. It tasted like he altered them but he insisted they were my recipe. I’ll have to make these again because I don’t remember them tasting this good.

So glad you had a great time. We’re thinking of doing something together, a dinner maybe at Chianti’s again.

Josie and Richard are the sweetest people. He said he had a blast yesterday making all the food for everyone and meeting everyone.

Oh he also made his pizzas for us. They are so good! I’ve already ‘borrowed ‘ that recipe ;)

He really was fantastic... meant to wish him a happy anniversary and glad he got to celebrate with you. Is his wife the petite woman with brown hair? If so, she was terrific, too!

I agree that the crab cakes tasted like your's but as though they'd been modified a little - a little less moist and as if they had less carrot or something. But, as you said, delic!

Everyone went nuts over the pasta dish. I can't wait to try to replicate that.

I'll be returning and definitely will attend any future events. :)
