Hi everyone,

I'm now to the raw food lifestyle and have been going strong with it since January 8, 2007. I'm interested in meeting other raw foodists for get togethers and for recipe sharing. I travel alot, so if others have suggestions as to how to travel and dine raw, please let me know. I can only eat so many salads in a weekend and decent oil in a restaurant is a rarity. I'm living in an isolated area of the Sierra Nevada foothills, so traveling to meet others is appealing to me. For fun, I like to skydive. So if you are a jumper, or have always wanted to jump, feel free to contact me. I love to share my sport.

Hey there. Raw since january is great. I love skydiving. I've never gone solo, only tandem. And I've only jumped in NZ. If you''re ever in NZ you have to jump, it's so beautiful. I'm in it for the pretty scenery. Where have you jumped in the states?

I'm assuming NZ is New Zealand. We have a lot of Kiwi jumpers. Thus far, I've jumped Skydive the Ranch in NY, CPI in Connecticut, Zhills in florida, Skydive San Francisco, Skydance in Davis, CA and Parachute Center in Lodi. In the next few months, I'll be jumping in Byron and Hollister, Ca. The views are beautiful under canopy. I love to jump from altitude, open high and take in the breath taking views of the pacific ocean in the west, and the Shawangunk mountains in NY. We should definately jump together when we are in the same neighborhood.

I've found that one of the best things to do when you travel is bring your own dressing! It just pack mine in my suitcase in a bottle. That way I know what I'm getting. Also bring dried fruit and nuts with. Another good tip is to just go to the grocery store and buy food to eat there instead of eating out. It gets easier the longer you've been raw in my experience. Also you learn to love salads. I hated them when I started the raw diet. Now they make up most of my diet.
