I'm wondering how much green smoothie y'all typically consume for one meal.

In my green smoothie I put in an orange, banana, strawberries, 2 scoops of hemp protien powder,2 cups fo kale, raw cocoa and water. I drink one for breakfast and one for dinner.

I'm like missrawdiva. I use a banana, strawberries, blueberries ad 1 cup of spinach and that's two meals. I've never been able to drink it in one sitting, it's to filling.

Mine are more often purple than green (I add blueberries and strawberries) and I usually eat 500 to 700 g (550-750 ml) at once. I almost always use at least four different fruits.

I had one for breakfast with apple, spinach, red lettuce and a orange. For now I have one with apple, orange, spinach, carrot and small banana. I drink it all and then I am full. :D
Oh yea. The apple and bananas r both small ones. Even the orange is not all that big but with the water added so I can blend it decent it is quite a glass full.

Usually 2 glasses are my limit...They are very filling.....

I think I exceed all limits as I add them into my "marianara sauces" and into my "soupes"....into anything,...
I try and have about atleast 5 to 8 cups of greens a day...!
Guess that's tons.. but when you feel your body needs it, you listen!
I have 1 quart, twice a day.
My smoothies are so yummy, I can't stop till I've downed the whole blender!
this am: frozen banana, 1/2 large papaya and 3 cups kale. H2O.

hehe *grins sheepishly* I eat a whole blender almost every morning
it generally consists of 5 large bananas and maybe 10-13 cups of greens. yummmm. Sometimes I add berries if we have any.
Sometime else during the day I usually have some other sort of green smoothie with like 7-9 cups of greens. I eat fruit alllll throughout the day otherwise. I tend to crave more greens with dinner too. I eat tons of fruit otherwise, as I said. Then I eat a fat source at night...usually one type a day. One day I'll eat my fill of pecans, the next it might be avocado. Avo is my favorite fat, that and hemp seeds. Sometimes I eat sprouted legumes too, although I am finding they don't sit as well.
But everyone is different. I am a growing teen who is healing from bone troubles...so maybe that/s why I eat so many greens. It doesn't even seem liek that much to me. I also eat a lot in general as I am, as previously stated, a growing teen...plus I am trying to gain weight.

Lunchtime is my green smoothie time. I consume 34 ounces.

I have 1 quart per meal. 3 meals per day. Here is one of my favorite savory green (actually mud colored) smoothie recipes.
397 grams organic red leaf lettuce
100 grams organic spinach
541 grams frozen mango
154 grams frozen blueberries
49 grams frozen whole cranberries
22 grams whole flax seeds
21 grams cilantro
141 grams celery
20 grams ginger root
27 grams garlic cloves
46 grams chopped onion
13 grams jalapeno pepper
45 grams fresh lime juice
48 ounces of filtered tap water.
I blend this up in three batches in my blendtec blender. I drink one quart right away and put the other two quarts in the fridge for later meals. Clean up the mess and thatís all my un-cooking for the day.

Usually 2 - 4 ouce glasses. But they are small because they are fancy glasses. It makes it fun to drink :D

Six mornings a week, I blend:
1 cup of water
1 or 2 oranges
1 carrot (grated)
3 or 4 big kale leaves
It comes to about 3 cups. If we have dandelion, or blue or strawberries, I'll throw some of them in too. When I remember, I'dd throw some flax seeds in my glass and stir them into the smoothie. I love green smoothies. My mom calls them "green slime!" She doesn't understand the appeal.
