Are all foods high in enzymes or are some better than others? I hear that avocados have lipase. Do nuts and seeds as well?
Also, I bought some Kal N Zyme to help until I have completed my transition. Is this a good enzyme supplement?
Thanks in advance

its my understanding that all vegetables/fruits/grains have their own enzymes "built in" so to speak. leaving the vegs/fruit/grains raw retains the integrity of these enzymes..cooking destroys them.
nuts and seeds i believe have enzyme inhibitors that are detroyed by soaking the nuts/seeds in water beforehand.
i havent heard of kal n zyme before..but what enzymes does it list on the back? to assist the digestion of foods on a raw vegan diet (though not necessary, some people choose to supplement with enzymes. i do! :) )...youll want to look for lipase to digest fats, amylase to digest carbs/sugars, protease to digest proteins, cellulase to digest cellulose. if it contains enzymes outside of those also, thats ok.

Oh and...
I just want to commend your brave name choice. Surely there is a story behind it. Perhaps one day you will grace us with the particulars.

The Kal-N-Zyme has lipase, amylase, and papain from papaya. Is that good enough?
Thanks for the info.
Hypnocmt,
Vagina is my given name but is pronounced Va jee nah. Some call me Gina. My mother could have at least spelled it differently, eh? I get all kinds of reactions especially when I pay for something by credit card. I had a waitress once trying not to laugh. She was in tears and had to get someone else to bring my card back to me. I doesn't at all bother me. It's actually quite amusing.

I mistakenly thought it was either a feminist statement, or an intentional conversation starter. So....I took what I thought was the bait; I bit, but put my foot in my mouth at the same time. Won't be the first or last, I assure you! ;)
Welcome and enjoy. Good folks here. You're in great company!:)
