I like ginger snaps - I know, I know, Gee, I know they are not raw. Has anyone come up with a recipe for ginger cookies or gingerbread raw?

Sweet lips, there was another thread (perhaps in the recipe forum) about some different kind of bars. One of them was supposed to be like ginger snaps. I will have to search for it, and then get back to this thread.

Okay, this came from veganvixen!

Lara bars are 100 percent raw and easy to find,they have added two new flavors too -gingersnap(taste like the real cookie) and mocha ,theyre originals are choc.coconut-cherry pie -banana nut-apple pie-and cashew cookie ,they are all great !

I don't know where I saw this posted but the poster claimed that the chocolate-coconut and cashew Larabars are NOT 100% raw as the chocolate and cashews used are roasted even though the label does not say so.

Would bear looking into if you're concerned about foods you eat being 100% raw.

I've used pumpkin pie filling, add extra ginger, dehydrate and the cookies are very much like ginger snaps.

Here's my filling recipe:

Mix in food processor for several minutes
2 cups shredded pumpkin or butternut squash

Then add:
1 cup dates
½ cup almonds (soaked) or sunflower seeds
2 tsps cinnamon
1 tsp ginger *** (add extra ginger for snaps)
½ tsp ground cloves
½ tsp nutmeg
¼ cup water
blend until smooth.
