I just picked some up - it sure is nice to have on hand as I have been doing NO sugar. Sure makes almond milk more enjoyable!

It's an acquired taste. I rarely use it as I don't really care for it. I prefer honey or agave. Try it out... you might like it.

U have to be careful how much u use as it is bitterif u use to much. I have used it for quite some time but now prefer Agave. Much better in everything than the Stevia. Bad thing is i use more of it so in the long run it cost more than Stevia.

I think it's good. It's nice to have a sweet treat after 5 days of no sugar.
I also prefer agave or honey... or, um, anything with sugar, but for the time being (while cleansing), the stevia does the trick.
Do you think it's healthy while cleansing? I hope it won't throw off my PH.... as I think it is getting back to normal. I will just keep my usage minimal.

OH, I really can't enjoy my food without it.

My Journal talks alot about my Stevia addiction!:o

Guess it's better then sugar by FAR!!

I use the NOW brand Pure Stevia Extract, and it has NO bitter aftertaste.

It is 66.00 dollars per pound. This is the bulk discount price.

Stevia is a minor allowance in my Raw food plan. I have a major sweet tooth and stevia really helps. I just put a few drops in my Thai sauce over my mung beans. I guess it took some getting used to but now I'm totally okay with it. I use the alcohol free liquid stuff. I've read it actually helps fight candida. I sure don't get a response from it.

What do I think about stevia? Yuck. I much prefer agave. Stevia leaves me with a gross after taste, but to each his own.

You know, I had some stevia first thing this morning in my hot cocoa...(mmmm :) ) and now I'm terribly bloated! I did find that it left a funky aftertaste as well. I don't think I like it now. Maybe in recipes it will be ok.

Most of us tried Stevia when it first came out...
That is why people are right about the gross aftertaste, etc. It's true!

New developments have been in Stevia and some companies have really mastered it - and there's no aftertaste and it's GREAT! So that's true, too.

I learned this recently, having boycotted the stuff after finally admitting in like 2000 that it was gross. That's when it was only like green and powdery still. lol!
