I'm on Day 8 and yesterday and today I have been experiencing major fatigue - I juick greens, eat greens and fruits - lots.

I'm trying really hard to stay on track and motivated, but it's getting difficult.

Any suggestions on getting some energy back?? I've been ready for bed since 1 pm today. Crazy:(

Run around half-naked in the sunshine.

Perhaps you could use some (but not a ton) more nuts of high-fat items if you are so new that your body wants that... Are you getting enough water? If you do nothing else for exercise, are you at least taking one healthy walk EVERY day? If you're not, force it! Just GO!

Good luck!

Thanks for the input - see I don't even have the energy to type correctly - missing letters and typos. . . .

will try exercising . . .it's snowing here, so I won't be running around naked in the sunshine - or lack there of. . .

Bingo - you are only on less then two weeks being raw? I would suggest keep eating raw (100%) and give it more time. Your body is detoxing I'm sure. How many years did you eat SAD/CRAP foods? Your body is using it's energy on detoxing. I personally say rest and let your body detox. I'm not sure about exercising. I say rest. Let your body do it's job. You will get the energy soon. Don't give up on raw. Your energy WILL come.

You could try the 5 Tibetan Rejuvenation Rites.
I do these every day and I've found they really help (I love the first one it's like being a kid again :p )

Something else I tried recently was Chi Kung (Chi Gong/QiGong), and I found that gave me a huge whoosh of energy - I went out and bought a DVD I was so impressed.

:) Hey I went through something similar when I switched overnight to a vegan diet from a SAD. I was dragging myself out of bed every morning and was soooo tired all day. I thought this can't be detox. It happenned a few days into the switch. I talked to another vegetarian and she said she went through the same thing when she switched and found out she was lacking EFA's. I didn't think this was my problem since I had been eating plenty of nuts and seeds but it was definitely worth a try. I went and bought some flax oil that night and took a whole bunch and I felt sooo much better the next day and continued to feel better. My mood improved a lot too.

I don't quite understand why this happened. I think I may have been EFA deficient (I think everyone on the SAD is to a degree) b4 the switch and it just intensified.

Sometimes you need to EAT More, you need your rest and above All LISTEN to YOUR Body. Drink plenty of Water. What you feel is Normal. Relax and Welcome to DETOX.........

Yes, the wisdom of giving the body what it is asking for - rest. It is going through a major transition and this is a time to be grateful that your body is doing the work for you - detoxifying. Some people are so far gone that their body will no longer detox.

Bingo, I am in the same place right now. I have been 100 % since Tuesday, and gave up coffee and tea the friday before that, so whoosh, big change. Take it easy and follow the great advice offered in this thread.

If you have no energy, and are tired, your body is telling you to REST. Get extra sleep so your body can intuitively repair itself. If you want to do light exercise and feel up to it, then go for it, but please don't go against your body trying to tell you something.

Try spending six hours a day on this forum to while away the detoxing days.....
