Adding pics / animations to blogs

Hi!

I was trying to put some images and what have you into the body of my blog entry, and they looked fine when I hit 'preview', but came out as links when I hit 'save' - any idea why this happened and how I can make them come out properly?

To add the pic, I hit the insert image icon, pasted the url into space provided and all that so I don't know what it is I should have done.....

I have no problem putting things into my posts....

when I put in the photo and hit preview the actual picture shows, but when I actually post it, only the link to the photo shows. Please help.. :o

I've not had any success cutting and pasting code for photos into posts on this forum. What I do is right click the photo and select copy. Then right click and select paste to put it into the body of the message. Same thing for smileys. I do use code for my diet ticker.

I tried it the way you describe, and couldn't do it. Unless I'm missing something :o

Still baffled as to why they show up on the preview but not in the final save....

Since the update in FEB the photos in Blog have a glitch

You can not upload from your source like a cd or a file on desktop. You need a URL address. this thread explains

That is what I have been doing..LOL. I have my photos on photobucket and pasted in the URL in the box that popped up, and it showed the picture for the preview, but, when I posted it finally, only the URL shows as a link to the photo.

It is crazy. I know I did it correctly...but it is not working. I want to see my duckies in my Blog..LOL..:p

Oh..well. Maybe it will get fixed soon....

Here's a thought..........careful I am thinking!!

When I copy the Url & paste it I click on the blog & I click on the insert photo icon (landscape cartoon) edit your last blog & see if that helps. If not I tried. Guru I am not.

yes..that is what I have been doing..LOL..

I just edited it again, and the same thing happened. It "works" and shows up in the preview..and then in the final post, it only shows the link to the photo.
