it all became so clear to me this morning:

time to fast!

today is the first "spring" day we have had in Montreal. (ie. not snowing and c-c-c-cold. It is sunny and going up to 6 C!)

I intend to juice fast.

today/tomorrow i will use up the apples, grapegruit and greens I have left over in the fridge... after that i dunno. (apples, cukes, parsley and lemon = one of my favs)

i usually fast on watermelon juice, but watermelon is still really expensive here at this time of year (1.09$ a pound!) It starts to go down in a month or so.

any suggestions re: what type of juice works best?

I would like to do just greens, or even water for that matter, but am far too active and I lack the proper support at this time.

Miss Linda, you have been a huge inspiration.

for the green juices you do work in, cuke/celery 1:1 is yummy. if its a bit too bitter for ya, add a tiny bit of OJ.

Cuke and celery is one of my favs.
David Wolfe suggests that cuke/celery form the base of all juices.

would i have enough energy on a fast of only cuke/celery juice?

how is your low sugar thing going?

okay,

so i taste-tasted my celery/cuke combo straight out of the juicer, and it was BLISS.
Then, b/c i didn't use my noggin, I tossed in apple and lemon. It tasted okay at first, i down a bunch of it, then I got a headache.
I KNOW it was the sugar.

looks like it's a green juice fast for me.
(if I do crave sugar, I will be sure to DILUTE with water at least 1:1!)

answered my own question!
love it when that happends! :p
