View Full Version : 99% raw...
i have been raw for 3+ years, but ever now and then I enjoy an ezekiel sprouted grain tortilla with my dinner salad... :o (not exactly RAW, my friends..)
do you ever make *tiny* exceptions?
and if so, with what results?
i should make a good buckwheat bread in my dehydrator. anyone have a good recipie? (nothing onion, garlic or super heavy... i'd like it light like bread.)

Well, I'm impressed with 99% Raw! I'm not perfect yet, ha ha! I'm shooting for 100% but decided to be comfortable in the transitional phase, which strangely helped me to be more Raw.....I really want to know what it feels like to be 100% for an extended period of time. Also, I personally really enjoy lots of Alissa's dehydrator recipes, and they fill the void for "that stuff," you know what I mean.

The only time knowlingly slide from 100%........ I make the most amazing salsa and avocado mix and I crave crunchy corn chips.....I would always love to have my RAW flax corn chips on hand....but during times like these- I allow myself a few organic blue corn chips!:D Not bad in the grand scheme of things!

Personally, no. I only put things in my body that can produce life and grow and that have their enzymes intact. I only eat living things because I am a living thing.
but, everyone is different and everyone has different needs. No one should condemn you for your choices (and vise versa) and no one should make the decision for you, either. It has to be your choice. And you have to be responsible for it Whatever you do, do it with love, peace and good intentions.

I have transitional moments full of unmentionables almost daily.
Then I get up the next day, recomitt or not, and start all over again!:)
Biggest Slips
Corn Tortilla Chips with Avo
Pasterized OJ, not from conc. in my smoothie
Kashi Cracker
When I have to have some bread I will occasionally indulge in some manna bread. It is sprouted for life and cooked at a low temperature (But not Raw). I haven't been able to make a bread recipe I like yet. I guess for me, it is a transitional food that helps keep me raw otherwise. I also have tea sometimes. I try to be 100% but I am not stressing about it when I don't. I figure I am eating 100% better and healthier than I used to so if I decide to have something not raw occasionally I am fine with it.

I will not every (knowingly) eat processed, altered, cooked foods again. I felt like CRAP for so long and don't want to EVER feel that way again.
