I learnt a little about Diverticulosis in my Nutrition lecture last night.

Supposedly, after autopsy, 80% of people have these pockets of trapped matter in their intestine. (Diverticulitis is the inflammation of these pockets.)

I wonder if, as you transition, the walls of the intestine becomes ironed out, so to speak...

Maybe this is part of the reason why some people experience digestive discomfort as they (we) transition to raw.

Just a thought.

Here's another puzzle: I had heard the same thing, that especially as we age, pretty much everyone has it some degree. If it is mild, we may never be aware of it.

When I had a hysterectomy in 05 I was told that they saw "lots" of diverticulosis when they were in there. I had a colonoscopy about 3 months after and that showed absolutely nothing at all! And I was 56 at the time! I don't know what is going on now!

They don't know what is going on either. LOL.

Can't tell you how many times my son has a virus according to his doctor and then when I catch it they will tell me that I have a very serious condition, or that it is all in my head . . .
