this is my 7th day and feel very weak. I have been eating everyday of 70% fruit 25% vege/greens and 5% other/nuts. I eat alot. For example:

Breakfast : Orange/Banana/strawberry smoothie
(not a coffee drinker, I have tea w/ honey)
Snack : celery w/ peanut butter or apple
Lunch : Salad of greens and grapes
Snack : Dry Fruit Rollup (strawberry)
Dinner : Green Smoothie
sometimes late snack : piece of fruit or banana icecream

also I take vitamins : V-C, Iron, Complex B, Fish Oil, Potassim
(every other day : V-D and Zinc)

I don't know if I can keep this up. I feel very weak, tried, dissy, stomach hurts, I feel full and I can't eat anymore. I also feel like I'm going to throw up. It may be gas (ha) or heartburn but I no doctor.

What do you all think I should do? Need Help.

i am no expert- but i would say, increase your greens. maybe drop the peanut butter- see how that feels. sounds like some of the things you're eating are great- but not enough. you should definitely have more greens and maybe try a meal of whole fruit too. 5 bananas, green smoothie, 3 mangoes, big green salad with sprouts, a couple brazil nuts later on, green smoothie, a watermelon and another green smoothie or salad.

what is your fruit roll-up? instead of that have greens or whole fruit. are you working out too?

i don't know about your supplements. instead of fish oil- try hemp, Omega-Zen-3, walnuts.

how much water are you drinking?

keep going with raw- you'll find a ton of support here.

Maybe you need more calories? You can try adding an avocado to your salads and eating a handful of nuts throughout the day. I haven't felt weak since I've started raw and I always have at least half an avocado in my salad. Hope you feel better.:o

It could be detox/cleansing or cooked food withdrawals. Everyone detoxes differently and at different rates and/or times. It also kinda depends on what your diet was like pre-raw.

You may want to do a few things to help the detoxification process along such as epsom salt baths (thanks for reminding me of this MissLinda!), enemas (I did those with GREAT success in my early days of raw - they helped me when I was having detox headaches and cold symptoms), saunas, etc.

But keep in mind, it's only been 7 days and again, depending on how you ate prior, your body is still going through an adjustment period from cooked to raw. Hang in there...it won't be like this for long!

-The above suggestions are great. I would also suggest that if your detox symptomology is acutely uncomfortable.....that you go back to a way of eating that you are VERY comfortable with.....and set smaller goals from there.....to ease into detox at a way that is not going to alienate yourself from healthy eating. Perhaps a stretch of 1-2% per week increase.......with a faster increase certainly possible IF you are very comfortable with the whole process. There are no raw food police forcing you to be very uncomfortable or non-functional. What do you think?

Thanks you all. This support really helps me. I'm going to take everyone's advice and see what happens.

I get really confused sometimes on this raw food diet and just need some good advice. Thanks again.
