Hi,

I am new to raw food and I don't own a great blender yet - I own a small one cup blender to make smoothies with. I was wondering if anyone knows if I could make almond milk with finely ground almonds that I saw in the health food store. If so, could you give me advice on measurements, etc.?

Thank you so much!

A REALLY easy way to make almond milk, especially with a not so great blender, is using raw almond butter. When I want some really creamy and quick almond milk I put a tbsp of almond butter in the blender and a glass of water (and cinnamon) and blend! Easy, easy ,easy... and yum!

Thanks! That sounds like a great idea. Is Raw Almond Butter available in most health food stores? If I can't find it do you think that finely fround almonds would work?

Do you have a juicer that homogonizes? You could make your own almond butter. I don't know if almond powder would work.... you could try though!
If you soak almonds overnight they get super soft and, I bet, even the crappiest of all crappy blenders could make them into almond milk.
