Hi all,

So I have completely omitted cooked foods from my diet, including coffee - my #1 love in my life - and am having some intense headaches. And I am breaking out, too (which is lovely at 24 years old - even though I'm way past puberty! haha). But the headaches are killing me! I refuse to take medication (i.e. tylenol, ibuprofen) and I am just wondering, how long will this last?? It makes working rather difficult!

Thanks!!!

I remember my first detox episode. The biggest migraine ever. It went away after a couple of days-but that's me. Everyone detoxes differently. Hang in there. Drink plenty of water to help it along. After if passes you will feel really good.

-I wouldn't try to tackle too much for YOU at one time. Radically changing your diet AND quitting caffeine AND avoiding meds will bring on a pretty decent detox I imagine! Ha! ha!

-My own detox from caffeine lasted a couple of weeks. Get plenty of rest...fluids....and regulate your own detox....don't just subject yourself to too much horror too quickly! Ha! ha!

Good advice from David Zane. I see friends try going Raw and mistake the discomfort of detoxing for the failure of the Raw food diet.

I thought I would add my thought- others please correct me if I'm wrong. I just watched a video by Victoria Boutenko today and one thing that caught my attention is that she said something to the effect of - you don't need to have major detox symptoms in order to detox. Drinking green smoothies will help you detox without major symptoms. That's what I understood anyhow-so maybe try adding a green smoothie. Again you much more knowledgeable people feel free to correct me if I am wrong:o
