What vitamix is this??

These are on Ebay for pretty cheap "Vitamix TurboBlend 4500"
I can't find any info on it & why they are differemnt from the 5000.

I don't have a vitamix. I tried out my grandmother's when I was there, and honestly couldn't tell any difference from my cheap old blender. I just use the blender and my food processer.

I have to disagree with RowanC. :) I had a great blender and recently found such a good deal on a new vitamix listed on craigslist that I couldn't pass it up. I was amazed at the difference. The vitamix blends whole oranges and other citrus fruits so that there is NO pulp in my smoothies...which is what I love. My old blender always left some stuff in there.

The difference, I think, between the 4500 and the 5000 is that the 5000 has adjustable speeds. Not positive on that though.

a while back a member whom owned both models said get the 5000 over the 4500 because the 5000's variable speed option makes it much much better .
