I have "The Complete Book of Raw Food"... THANKS... I'll look it up. I've tried one recipe that was a ranch-alike, but I didn't think it tasted like ranch. Though it was good, and DH liked it, but for me it didn't do it, LOL. So I haven't tried any other ranch-alikes... But... You've inspired me to try this one. :)

I suppose I could just post it huh?...
:)
1/2 to 1 cup mac nuts (I used 1/2 cup cashews...I'm cheap:o )
1/3 cup Apple Cider Vinegar or Lemn (I used ACV)
2/3 cup Olive Oil (I used organic sunflower oil...my evoo isn't organic)
1 tsp salt
Italian seasoning to taste (I used a lot!)
1/2 tbsp sage (I didn't use caus I didn't have)

In food processer blend nuts and 1/4 to 1/2 cup water until smooth (depending on thickness desired)
Add the rest of the ingredients and continue to mix

Jeez, I suppose I could have made this my own recipe with all the changes I made! It's so yummy... I have it on the salad I'm eating right now!

After it is in the fridge for a while it thickens up a bit more so I wouldn't be opposed to adding a bit more water when mixing the nuts next time.

Enjoy!

UGH! I just can't win......... I am doing a candida cleanse and THOUGHT I could eat all nut but peanuts and pistachios. Turns out cashews are nuts to avoid as well...
Do I go on and keep eating the wonderful dressing I made on my salads or dump it?! Maybe try to remake it with mac nuts when I have some spare $$$$$. Ahhhhh.....:(

Italion seasoning.... I don't know? Sorry, mine doesn't have a list of herbs. I can see that there is rosemary in it. I imagine oregano... parsley?

Mmmm I just made this! It was delicious. I used a different seasoning, but it was still goooood. And I didn't use sage either. MMM

Oh good, I'm glad!!! It is tasty huh?

I just dumped mine. The cashews, apparently, have fungus growing on them... whatever, I'm just going to follow this cleanse to a T until it's over. I'm going to pick up some mac nuts soon and remake the dressing :)

I made it but there was to much vinegar so i added some stevia to kind of take the bite out of it and it makes a great dip. Since doing Raw I find that the stronger foods taste dif to me. Garlic is bitter. I have to be careful with vinegar. I do like it and am sitting here dipping carrots into it. I put Italian seasoning in it along with some other seasonings. Dried herbs used in place of sodium. It is good now so i bet it will be better once it has sat overnight and the herbs have combined with it all. Yummy

The good thing about it is i can eat as much as I want whereas dressing one cannot if they want to lose weight. Thanks for posting this. It can be modified in so many ways. I am thinking dill dip might also be good using the basic recipe. Love that stuff.

thanks RawCutter. I used a clove of garlic and some hot pepper flakes instead. I'll make this next time, though. sounds like it would make it taste more "ranchier"

Wow, Great! I'm glad you all enjoyed it! I went back to the store and bought some mac nuts and remade it... LOL!
My step-Mom had some for her dinner as well - she loved it too! It takes just like Ranch right?!

I just made a french dressing for tommorrow. It's good - but, not as good as the ranch. I have to switch it up a bit...
The dressing I just made:
red pepper
mac nuts
sunflower oil
suflower seeds
garlic
ACV
It's really tasty! I think it will be good with and avocodo and kale salad tomorrow!

I'm really missing sugar tonight. I don't think I've ever gone a day with no sugar! I feel great though! Very even tempered today - and no dramatic energy drop.

Cassidy,
What candida cleanse are you on? Would you email me the information?

Thanks, Nini
