My husband was in St. Louis for work so I asked him to pick up some organic fruits and nuts. He also came home with a large bag of sweet corn. If I don't cook it what do I do with it? I do not have a dehydrator or a food processor, just a blender. I did a banana search, but did not find any ideas. Sometimes when I do a search I get weird topics that don't seem to match what I am searching for.

Just eat it straight off the cob. Way better than cooked.

You can eat it as is. My daughter likes it straight from the cob. I can't stand to eat it from the cob. Gets stuck in my teeth. So I cut mine off with a knife. Raw corn is really sweet and good.

If you want something fancier, cut off the kernels, mix with other veggies like chopped onion, pepper, celery, tomato and perhaps some lentil sprouts and cilantro. You can add some olive oil, salt and pepper.

I can't see me eating it off the cob, plain! I might cut it off the cob and mix it with some spices or add it to salad. Just thinking about opening it up and eating it off the cob is kind of funny to me. I would feel like a pig! :p Oink!
I am going to take a ear of it out or the frig to get to room temp and see how it goes from there.

I just ate raw corn! I was too hungry to wait so I ate it right out of the frig! I, me ate raw corn! I put a little I can't believe its not butter spray on it and ate it. I know the spray is not raw, but I have two bottles of the stuff left so I am slowly using it up. I had a handful of dates for dessert. I am not going to tell my husband he will think I have gone crazy eating raw corn!

Why? Raw corn is sooooo sweet. Nothing like going out and picking a fresh ear off and warm from the sun - my oh my!!!

It is delicious as is - on or off the cob. Enjoy ~ Cathy

I have not reached the point in my raw food journey that eating raw seems natural to me. You all are amazing. I guess after 40+ years of eating cooked foods I will find it a bit odd for a while. I mean the raw corn did surprise me. The really great thing is that eating raw will not be shocking to your children or their children! Now that is cool!

Dj-
I cut it off the cob and tried it for the first time last year. It is good. I mixed some in with some fajitas I made. I think I might try it with some spices and bell pepper- might be good inside a bell pepper. You got me thinking now:)

Hey, are you in St. Louis? If so, that means I actually know of another person who is raw on this site that is near me. I right by Edwardsville.

I actually live outside of Centralia, Il. My husband is a plasterer and he works in Edwardsville a lot. Hey where do you buy most of your produce and things? Is there a good health food store around? I can drive to Mt. Vernon and go to GNC, but they don't have any food items except Lara bars. I do manage to get to Fairview Hts. once in a while.
