Today I found an oat roller, handcranked, so you can make your OWN rolled grains! It is not cheap, it's about $80, but WOW!
It's called an Oat Roller and you can get it at Lehman's.
WooHOO! That's my next big purchase!

I know. I have one, too, and was SO jazzed when I found it, LOL!
Now, you just have to find a place that sells truly RAW oat groats that don't have a strong, bitter taste. The ones from Sun Organic Farms are bitter and they have bugs. The bugs are detected after you roll the grain out and the soak it. They all come up to the surface, can we say YUCKKY!!
I have given up on finding truly raw, unbittered oat groats myself. I have decided as very wise Rawkinlocks puts it, not to make a big deal about it. Or something like that. So I don't. I use what's in the market under oat groats.
Hope you find that kind of peace with your oats also!
Graciously,

I get "raw"oat groats from Whole Foods.
they are "supposed"to be able to be sprouted....hence making the raw....but i haven't tried yet.
that is gross about the bugs.
makes me wonder if i just ground em up in the coffee grinder!
LOL

I love my hand flaker too! :D
I was one of the lucky ones here a while back who got one for $23 on this one website that was discontinuing them. Yeah, now I see them being sold from $65 to about $90 or more. You can also sprout/dehydrate and roll out other grains as well such as wheat (for those who eat it), spelt, barley, etc...but not buckwheat (not really a grain anyway)...for a multi-grain type of cereal or to use in recipes, etc.

I was also one of the lucky ones to get the same one that Rawkinlocs got, and I love it. It works perfectly! I've just bought Alissa's raw oat flakes and love them but to save money I usually just roll my own. I'm never sure if the oat groats I buy in bulk are really raw or not but then this is one item that I let slide if not truly raw. But that is just me!
