View Full Version : Mushy Raw Carrot Cake

I just made Alissa's raw carrot cake, and while I do enjoy the taste... it's mushy. It's not cake like at all. I am wondering if I can fix this so it's more solid, or is that just the way raw cakes are and I have to learn to live with it? Thanks;)

I haven't made this yet...but I have heard of others putting the cake "layers" in the dehydrator. I think this will dry it out, and almost give it the "cake-like" texture you are looking for! Good luck. Maybe someone else will chime in!

Stick it in the dehydrator for a few hours. It improves it incredibly! I've done it!

Yep, I did two things - I added a little more walnuts than called for and then I divided it into 3 thin layers, dehydrated them and then frosted. It was great!
