I apologize, because I know this has been discussed before, but I can't find it. Besides Alissa's book, which is wonderful, what are your favorite raw recipe books and why?

The Complete Book of Raw Foods by because it has a variety of different recipes from different raw food chefs/authors, even some I've never heard of before.

I recently got Raw by Roxanne Klein and Charlie Trotter. The pictures and recipes look so gourmet and elaborate, and quite intimidating. I had originally bought it just as inspiration (that raw foods are just as, if not more enticing than cooked foods), but then I started attempting some of the recipes. Actually, parts of recipes, and adjusting and substituting ingredients. So far, I've made ceaser dressing, taco shells, chocolate gelato, chocolate truffles and chocolate-coconut thumbprint cookies (from the chocolate chip cookie recipe), and the food turned out wonderful even with many ingredients tweaked here and there.

The book is a little expensive (around $30), but the book is filled with great photos, and the recipes force you to get a little creative due to the fact that some of the ingredients are probably available on remote parts of the earth (haha).

Well ,I only have two raw books -raw power (a lot of info ,very little recipes) and RAW by Juliano,I love it -it has great sauces (my favs are ketchup and sweet and sour sauce-taste like the real stuff) ,great soups (my fav is lava and new moon soup) ,purple tortillas ,great marinara ,toast ,mango bread (also a good porridge if undehydrated),beet burgers ,a bunch of sushi recipes ,crackers, great cheeses, and the desserts look great (I havent tried them yet)

but I am going to get the one rawkinlocs was talking about -the grouping of recipes-thats sounds like a lot of variety-also if your looking for recipes go to :fromsadtoraw.com and print them off ,and compile them in a notebook
