How do you gain weight on raw? My slender boyfriend wants to do raw with me (9 days raw), but he's afraid he will lose weight. How should he eat?
:) Thank you in advance for your help. :)

...by incorporating dense and heavy foods throughout the day, like nut and seed butters (tahini, almond butter, hemp seed butter.....) as well as avocados, bananas and raw oils, you can probably gain weight.
Just a quick note *** Our bodies are so wonderful, that although they are capable of losing or gaining weight for specific purposes, our "ideal" weight on raw over time will surface!!!

Reassure him that in the beginning, he may (or may not) shed his "false body" as Alissa calls it. All the old, toxic fat, etc. will come off and then his body will rebuild. But he can also do some weight training to help bulk up.
Just show him Storm Taliferno of thegardendiet.com to see a great example of a lean, yet not-too-skinny, muscular man who is all raw.
You say that he wants to "gain weight" and that he is already slender. Does he want to gain muscle or gain fat? I'll assume that he wants to put on muscle because most guys do. Stating the obvious here, but tell him that he will need to work out. :)
I am also one of those slender guys and I lost a bunch of weight when I first went raw, and then I gained a lot of it back. I started working out, and now have some nice abs to show for it. Tell him to read some books by raw foodist Douglas Graham who helps train athletes, if he wants to educate himself about eating raw and building muscle. Rawkinlocs mentioned Storm Taliferno, and that is a great suggestion. Storm has been raw for many many years and is built rock solid.
