Greetings everyone. I made flax zucchini bread from a recipe book and it doesn't taste like the spices or raisins or anything. Any ideas? Can I break it up add water and make into flat bread to make toast or sandwiches?
Help, don't want to waste bread.
WannaBraw (actually I am raw and staying that way!)

ii might be in the same boat. i made (for the first time) carrot flax seed crackers last night but will have to wait until i get home to finally try them. i'm hoping they will be tasty but was kind of grossed out when i was preparing them.
it would be interesting to see what others will say to try to "save" some of this stuff...i don't like letting food go to waste.

OK, without seeing or knowing which recipe you used....I would, and have in the past, well, hhmm.
If your zuchinni bread is thick, I would slice it thin...wet it and add some extra spices or herbs to it (sprinkled on) and rehydrate it.
The same for the other cracker or bread...I have in the past, re-wet my cracker (if it didn't taste good) add more spices/herbs....and rehydrate.
Good luck.

I've found that I didn't like the darker flax seeds.... which I originally bought in the beginning because I didn't know better.. now I get the lighter colored flax seeds...
also, I personally like to use half flax seeds/half almond flour (ground up almonds) to make my breads/crackers type things.
it just takes lots of experimenting to find what you like.
as to what to do with your already made flax bread.. maybe like someone else suggested.. you could wet it and add spices to it or maybe you could pop it back in the food processor with some almond flour and/or sundried tomatoes or olive oil or whatever you have on hand that you personally like and grind it all up again and try to make it more to your liking.
that's one thing I really like about raw foods.. it's fun to experiment and just sorta fool around with stuff.

If you have a garden stick it in your compost pile to help with making the soil richer. along with any other food stuff you don't consume.

I'm just the opposite. I don't like the golden seeds!

Soak it briefly and throw it in the food processor with walnuts, veggies, and more and make burgers. :-)
